NEO-RLS: Intentionally Making Space – Programming Towards Inclusion

Framed by some techniques and concepts from feminist pedagogy and social emotional learning, Marian Fragola will discuss how the NC State University Libraries created the Making Space series to confront bias and systemic barriers to inclusion in its Makerspace and gaming offerings.

Attendees of this session, scheduled on Sept. 17 from 10am-11am Eastern, should come prepared to engage with each other and discuss (and even challenge!) the ideas and concepts presented.

It will be presented by Marian Fragola, Director of Program Planning and Outreach at the NC State University Libraries. Fragola develops and manages a diverse suite of multidisciplinary programs and activities that benefit the campus and broader community. She is on the board of Student Action with Farmworkers and has served as the board chair for the North Carolina Humanities Council. She lives in Durham, NC.
