Greetings from the Graduate

Hello all! Happy July. I hope you are all able to take some time to relax and refresh before the new semester begins. For those of you in Summer classes, keep on working hard. I am excited to continue serving as GSAC President in the fall. We have some exciting new things planned going forward, so stay tuned. As always you are invited to reach out with any concerns or thoughts you have. If you would like to be more involved in GSAC there are still a few open positions.

Alumni Network Update

CELEBRATE YOUR SKILLS!
During Homecoming season at KSU (September 21), the iSchool would like to celebrate all the skills alums are sharing in libraries everywhere! And, we think your users should know about them too so, it’s time for a contest!

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Set up a display in your library that celebrates information careers of all types. Feature things such as the degrees of your staff members, banners from the colleges you’ve all attended, textbooks from the library/archives/information industry, information workshops or webinars you’ve offered or been to and whatever else you can think of to show off who we are.

NEXT: Take a picture of your display and post it (by September 21) on the iSchool Alumni Network Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/KSUISALUMNI/

The iSchool director will randomly pick a winner from all entries and send a special gift. But, the real gift will be the fact that your users will now know how very talented your library team is!
