On June 17, 2020 from 2-3pm Eastern, NEO-RLS will hold a webinar to discuss how the aging of America impacts libraries.
Learning objectives include:
- Increased empathy and appreciation for ourselves and others who are aging
- Greater awareness of trends pertaining to aging (sociological, health, economic, technology, innovations)
- Greater knowledge of possible library programs and services for older adults
The session will be led by Wendy Pender, Older Adults Program Coordinator at the King County (Wash.) Library System. In addition to an MLS from the University of Pittsburgh, Wendy has a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Washington and is a trained facilitator with the Northwest Center for Creative Aging.
